Overview:

First of all, I’d like to apologize for keeping the location of these trails a secret, but it is the only way to ensure their survival. Anyways, these trails were built a couple years ago on a random hill in the Garden State and are enduro oriented. You’ll find about 2-3 short descents with rock gardens, gap jumps, and the occasional short slab.

Pros:

Because these trails are secret, and therefore illegal, they have some pretty large sized jumps and drops, and some gnarly jank that very few city councils would ever approve of. This non legal element also means that the trails get built way faster than almost any other non bike park spot I ride, and we saw a new jumpline had just been built. Another benefit is the fact that these trails barely get ridden, meaning the dirt here is insanely loamy with tons of traction that I have yet to find anywhere else in New Jersey.

Cons:

As previously mentioned, these trails are on a small hill, meaning there’s not a lot of elevation. Despite this, it’s also hard to get in a bunch of quick laps as there’s no climb trail, and you’ll have to traverse a fire road at the top of the hill if you shuttle. Further, if illegal trails are not your thing, or you’re a beginner rider, stay away. Finally, since there’s absolutely no videos of this place online, its basically impossible to find but if you ask around you may get lucky.

Rating: 6/10

Despite its logistical flaws, this spot boasts some amazing flow and tech, plus some of the best dirt in the state and it’s definitely worth paying a visit to if you happen to stumble across its location.
