Somewhere In Pennsylvania

Overview

If you’re reading this right now, you’re probably pissed that I’m not sharing the location of these trails. However, this is just so they don’t get taken down and so that they exist in the first place. If you research long enough on youtube, you’ll probably be able to find the location just as I did. Anyhow, this place has about eight downhill trails with everything from flow and jumps, to fast enduro stages, and runs that would easily be considered double black tech at a bike park. There are two different sides divided by a road that can be shuttled.

Pros

This place will entertain almost any rider, and is basically a bike park without a chairlift. Lots of these trails are very fast and were probably old race courses. My personal favorite trail, Pipeline, combines classic East Coast gnar at the top, with big log jumps and gaps at the bottom. There are even a few wooden features like a whale tale, bridge jump, and a cannon jump.

Cons

Like most other downhill spots I ride, downhill is the first priority and the surrounding cross country trails are extremely overgrown as I found out on my last visit. Another negative is the fact that this place isn’t on trailforks making it hard to navigate. Also, there’s always the risk you’ll get caught and maybe fined.

Rating: 7/10

This spot is definitely worth checking out, and as long as you ask some locals, you should know where to go. However the legal aspect is the limiting factor on this review, and I think otherwise this would be closer to a place like Spring Mountain in it’s rating.
