Overview:

Diamond Hill is part of a narrow slice of state owned land in Cumberland, RI. The park can be divided into 3 different sections: The rock slab cross country trails at the top of the hill, the chunky enduro descents across the street on the old ski mountain, and the big three expert trails in the middle of it all: Clyde Frog, Rhody-O, and Chuck Norris.

Pros:

Literally every trail at Diamond Hill has some kind of unique feature on it whether it be a rock slab, steep chute, or even a cannon jump! The low elevation means you can get tons of quick laps and master each descent by the end of the day! There are also a few extra credit freeride lines like a massive bc style rock face, and a sketchy gap drop from a rock onto a ladder bridge.

Cons:

The small elevation, while partially a pro, still means you won’t get that epic descent you’ve been craving. After going to New Hampshire one week, and Diamond Hill the next, this place seems like a mini version of the stuff you would find up north, and has plenty of challenging terrain that beginners will walk, making it only appeal to a certain audience.

Rating: 7/10

Honestly, it’s pretty hard to find anything wrong with Diamond Hill, except for it’s location. As far as I’m concerned, the trail builders have done everything perfectly and seem to have added new stuff since I last visited in 2018.
