Pine Hills
Overview:
Pine Hills is located just outside of Plymouth, MA. The park has two sides including the Nuclear Side and the Serious Cycles Side just across the road. I only rode the Nuclear Side but it seems like the other area had more loamy and fast descents with a few features mixed in.
Pros:
There is a lot of variety at Pine Hills. From those loamers I mentioned, to countless sketchy wooden features, and even four new machine-built jumplines which is a pretty big deal. No matter you’re ability, you’ll definitely be challenged at Pine Hills. However, there also is some beginner terrain making this place appeal to a large range of skill levels.
Cons:
The one thing that got in my head the entire time I rode here were the corners! Usually I found myself pedaling around a tight corner where I would find some crazy wooden feature that I knew I didn’t have the speed for. This also comes into play on the jump lines which I think would be way more fun on a dirt jumper because they’re so friggin’ tight. However, it’s unclear whether the trails across the street have this same issue but I found it quite weird that both here and Vietnam trails both have this same problem.
Rating: 6.5/10
Based on what I saw, Pine Hills is a great riding spot for a lot of people, however I don’t think it suits my riding style. It definitely offers more trail riding than downhill.
