Kingdom Trails
Overview:
The Kingdom Trails are right in the heart of the MTB mecca East Burke, VT. There are 77 trails which isn’t even counting the bike park and Victory Hill across the street. You’ll find everything here from flowy enduro runs like the three T’s, wooden bridges on Jaw and Burnham down, and even an epic half pipe trail called Sidewinder!
Pros:
Kingdom trails can be ridden by anyone, regardless of experience, and there is enough here for at least a weekend of riding. The trails are all exceptionally well built and advanced riders can find a few sweet challenges here.
Cons:
Unlike almost any other trail system, you have to pay for a pass in order to ride here. However, I think the money from selling tickets goes back into improving and maintaining the trails so that’s also a positive. One thing that most people will find disappointing here is the lack of advanced terrain. While on the surface it seems like there are plenty of black and double black trails, these would all probably be rated as blue anywhere else. But when everything else in the area is gnarly, I guess taking a break on some mellow trails can be a good thing from time to time.
Rating: 7.25/10
There is just too much here that’s too well built that I can’t give this place lower than a 7. Although it might be disappointing to advanced riders, the Kingdom Trails are still a world class mountain bike mecca that should be added to every east coast rider’s bucket list.
